"Seduction by an Alien Vampire"
Phaeryn came to Earth to find a woman to make his own. A
woman who could become his mate and bear his children. His
call brought Kayla to him, and Kayla was everything that he
didn't want. His body had other ideas, though, and their
passion led them to something more than mere physical
pleasure. But could Kayla overcome the secrets that he had
been hiding and trust him enough to give him her heart? Decidedly romantic, NIGHT STALKER plays with vampire theory
and romantic conventions and comes up successful. Her
characterization and world building are interesting,
despite the necessary compression. The sexual content of
the story is rather eclectic, featuring not only the
vampire-related blood sharing, but also mild mentions of
pregnancy. The prominence of the pregnancy thread in the
story (Very Prominent) may not appeal to some readers. The
ending is swift, but emotionally satisfying. Though there
are no hints to future stories in the world, Evans has
built a wonderful base that could easily be constructed
upon. Sensuality Level: This story contains frequent, explicit
sexual encounters, some of which involve blood.

SummaryKayla didn't go out looking for a man, but when she hears
Phaeryn's vampire, siren call she's not happy that she
can't resist. She's never felt so aroused and since he's
the one that caused it, he's the one who has to fix it.
Phaeryn came to earth for a woman. A small, delicate,
submissive woman able to bear his children. He doesn't want
anything to do with the tall, voluptuous Kayla who
definitely has a mind of her own. A night of passion leaves
them both somewhere they never expected to go--in love with
each other.
