REVIEW

"Scorching Elvin-Faerie Romance"

Destiny dictates that Noele, a beautiful fearie princess, be wed to Garick, the elvin king of Winterland. Their marriage will unite the realms and provide both the faeries and the elves protection from the evil wizards who crave their power. It is not a fate she is comfortable with, for the elvin people have odd customs. Though she has always known that she would wed Garick, her heart craves more than just a political alliance. Her attraction to Garick startles her and gives her hope. Could it be that her destiny will bring her happiness after all?

Garick has no illusions of love or happiness. He knows that he must marry Noele, but giving her his heart is out of the question. Her beauty astonishes and stirs him. He doesn't want her hold on him, but he can't control the feelings that become stronger with each encounter between them.

Simmering erotic encounters and heart-warming emotional relationships fill this new first-in-a-series novel by EC author Jaci Burton. The characters are interesting and the world that they populate is intriguing. The sex is scorching, explicit and adventurous, and includes a prominently featured threesome encounter. Burton's worldbuilding comes a strict second to the intense romantic and sexual relationship that develops between Noele and Garick, but the ending hints at events in the later books of the series. Other hints are seeded throughout the story as well, mostly having to do with Noele's sister, who will probably be the star of the Burton's next KISMET book. Despite those threads, WINTERLAND DESTINY stands firmly on its own enticing feet. It is a sexy, explosive start to an intriguing new series.

Sensuality Level: This novel has been rated "E-rotic" by the publisher.

Summary

Noele, Faerie princess of D'Naath, has been destined to wed Garick, the Elvin king of Winterland, from the moment of her birth. They are to be married on the day of the Winter Solstice. Their two kingdoms will be joined together to strengthen their territory and keep it from the hands of the evil wizards.

Happy with her carefree life in the woodglen forest with her sisters, Noele is loath to have that freedom taken away. Garick holds the power to keep her or cast her aside after their marriage. For a faerie who has always done what she pleased, being practically owned by the charismatic king does not sit well with her.

But the beautiful faerie wields a power of her own, the power to touch Garick's heart, to make him experience sensations he's never felt before. Garick doesn't care for the hold she has on him, but he can't deny his awakening emotions for the beautiful princess.

Two hearts destined to be together must fight not only the evil wizards, but their feelings for each other. Yet love is tied to fate, and some ties cannot be broken.
