REVIEW

"Wonderful love story with real emotions."

Private investigators Jamie McAdams and Mick Dole were investigating a case of corporate theft at Booth Industries, owned by Jamie's godfather. Their main suspect was Andrina "Andi" Morrow, who headed up the on-site daycare center and was the company nurse, mainly because she had recently made some major purchases that seemed extravagant given her salary. Jamie found himself very attracted to Andi from the start and had to constantly remind himself that she was an embezzler.

Andi had an unpleasant childhood growing up in foster homes and wasn't very quick to trust anyone or share herself intimately. Jamie and Mick soon began to suspect another Booth employee of the theft, especially after they discovered the source of Andi's extra income, but needing to gather more evidence, they let it appear that Andi was still their prime suspect. Jamie and Andi couldn't hold back their desire for each other and began an intense sexual relationship. In their search for the thief, Andy was misled and upon finding out she's been used, she's terribly hurt and very angry at Jamie. He is sure that he has lost her forever.

This was a very enjoyable book and I would be quick to recommend it. The characters were well written and the emotions very real. I felt Andi's pain at Jamie's betrayal and the joy of their love for each other. Ms. Walker has written a wonderful love story in COMING IN LAST and it remains a favorite.

Explicit sex, oral sex, anal sex.

Summary

Jamie McAdams expected it to be an open and shut case of embezzlement. The finger seemed to be pointed right at Andi Morrow, the quiet young lady who ran the daycare center at his godfather's plant. Of course, she didn't exactly have access to the cash, but she did live seriously outside her means.

Andi smelled like vanilla, tasted like sex, and moved like sin. It only took a few days for Jamie to realize he was hooked, and she was being framed. But maybe he should have told her that, before they used her as bait to catch the real embezzler.

Jamie always gets his man, even if it means coming in last with the woman he's fallen in love with.
