"A fun addition to the Viking series"
Magnus Ericsson has a problem with children. It's not
that he doesn't like them, it's that they keep showing up
calling him Daddy. Everyone teases him since he now has
13 children, several ex-wives, and now an infant has been
delivered to him. He's sworn off women, to the amusement
of his family. They don't think that he'll be able to go
very long without a woman's company. One day Magnus decides to take his family to find a new
home, and they wind up taking a much stranger trip than
they planned. It turns out that they miraculously find
themselves transported to a movie set in modern day
California. They are filming a movie about a Viking and
the director thinks Magnus is an actor who's into method
acting to the point of even dressing like one. Realtor Angela Abruzzi has been trying to get a local
director to use her family's vineyard as his setting for
his next movie. Her family has been having a long run of
bad luck and needs help finding ways to make some money to
keep the vineyard going. She finds Magnus on the set and
agrees to let him and his children stay at the vineyard,
hoping she can win the director's approval for using the
vineyard in his movie. This was a fun addition to the Viking series. This is not
the first book in the Viking series but can be read on
it's own. Magnus was adorable and I enjoyed reading about
his relationship with each of his children. The
attraction between the two main characters was immediate
and intense.
