"Intense and edgy vampire romantic suspense."
Darcy Henry and Joe Garcia were part of a special police
team looking for a serial killer vampire. The special unit
had been following vampire Quentin Albermarle thinking that
he was their killer, but after a confrontation with him
they find that he too is on the hunt for the soulless
vampire. The police captain and Quentin agree to join
forces. Darcy and Joe are not happy, although Darcy is
attracted to Quentin from the moment she first sees him.
Quentin wants Darcy and doesn't care who knows it. The
police captain makes Darcy take Quentin to her house to
stay during the investigation. Things heat up between Darcy
and Quentin immediately; Joe, who has secretly been in love
with Darcy for three years, is extremely displeased with
Darcy because of it. The team finally obtained information
on the whereabouts of the murdering vampire, and a raid is
set up. The raid goes bad and Darcy and Quentin have to
make decisions that gravely impact others. Quentin's
friends Dylan and Emmy (from MIK I) arrive on the scene to
assist in the takedown of the serial killer. This book grabbed me from the beginning. It was hard-
hitting and edgy, but filled with incredibly intense
sensuousness. The sex in this book is red-hot and it's
frequent; nothing lukewarm about it! Quentin, for all of
his brash cockiness, was a gentlemen who fell deeply in
love with Darcy; watching him fall was quite enjoyable.
This was my first Delilah Devlin book as well as my first
vampire book, but definitely not my last of either. I have
already ordered the books that precede and follow this one.
Ms. Devlin has written a definite winner in MIK II: LOVE
BITES. Explicit sex, anal sex, oral sex, m/m/f sex, minimal light
bondage, minimal spanking. Reviewed by Laurie Damron for Sensual Romance.

SummaryOn the trail of a serial killer, vampire Quentin Albermarle
is mistaken for the killer by a police special task force.
Once the smoke clears, Quentin finds himself in a delicious
position—atop one of the unit's crack officers, Darcy Henry.
In need of Quentin's access to the vampire sub-culture, the
task force leadership invites Quentin to join the crime unit
as a special advisor, much to the chagrin of the men in the
unit, and especially, of Darcy.
A no-nonsense cop with no time for romance, Darcy suddenly
finds herself embroiled in a steamy love triangle between
her mortal partner, Joe, and the handsome vampire. Going
from abstinence to wantonness, she is unable to resist the
two men's relentless seduction or her own sensual curiosity
about a vampire's special "kiss".
When the real killer threatens the life of someone close to
her, Darcy makes a choice that forever binds the three of
them together.
