Burton offers sensual escape in this steamy read, first of a series about the family Storm and their hotel in New Orleans. The characterization is exact, the tone of the novel eloquent. SUMMER HEAT is redolent with sensuality and sexual adventure, though Burton doesn't skimp on the storyline or the non-sexual relationships between any of the characters. Aidan's family, in fact, plays a rather prominent role in the novel. Also to be noted is Burton's use of the paranormal in this contemporary romantic delight. It's not quite subtle, but far from overpowering, and yet integral to the hero and the story itself. The romantic relationship between the characters is thrilling, as well. Readers looking for a smooth, sultry read are advised to take a look at SUMMER HEAT — it's truly a keeper.

Summary

It isn't long before Aidan heats up Melissa's summer and melts her frosty heart.
