REVIEW

"Can a peasant and a prince find happiness?"

Elzebeth had always been a hard worker, but since the stables burned down she was doing her father's work as well. He had been seriously burned in the accident and it was only due to her great healing skills that he still lived. One morning while she's doing her chores, Prince Wilhelm stops at the cottage for water for his horse. Elzebeth immediately knows the prince, as it was his face on the gold coins that were in her dowry. She had been in love with this face for years.

Prince Wilhelm is attracted to Elzebeth. She is smart as well as beautiful. He realizes that she is a maiden, but he wants her anyway and he feels that she is attracted to him as well. He can't marry her, as he needs a titled bride, but he could make her his beloved bound concubine. When she refuses he decides not to take no for answer, so he comes up with test.

Can Elzebeth be smart enough to pass Prince Wilhelm test? Will Prince Wilhelm get what he wants? Can love find a way?

Ms. Walder was written a delightful twist on old tale. This is a quick, sexy read that had me laughing in spots. I had to read it in one sitting as I had to know if she passed the test or not. I loved the fact that Elzebeth was intelligent as well as beautiful. Then there was the fact that Prince Wilhelm admired her brains as well as her beauty. It's a great story that is filled with hot erotic sex scenes that will get you steamy. A must for your bookshelves.

Summary

Never were there two people more different from one another.

Wilhelm's world centered on the intrigues of court life, on maintaining preparations for war, dealing out justice, and interacting with the Holy Roman Emperor.

Elzebeth's life revolved around making herbal medicines, caring for the sick, delivering babies, raising animals, selling her cheeses and hams, and caring for her injured father.

Passion came as a surprise for the peasant's daughter and her prince. Yet, their passion would not be denied. Becoming his mistress was a reasonable solution.

But, when was reasonable good enough for The Peasant's Wise Daughter?

Sexual Content: E-rotic. Genre: Not-So-Grimm Fairy Tale.
