"Can a police chief find love with a Wiccan priest?"
Sarah Wylde is Lilesville's new police chief. She moved to
this small town from Chicago to get her life under control.
She had been injured on duty and while recovering her
husband had divorced her. The last thing she wants is
another man. But one night while she is walking in her
neighbor's wooded area she witnesses a Sacred Wiccan
ceremony. Its sensual nature draws her attention to the
head priest. When he turns up at her house later she is
unable to resist his kisses. Justin Herne has a local shop that caters to women's
sexuality. He is also the local Wiccan priest. From the
first time he saw Sarah he knew that she was his soulmate.
Can he convince her to try her heart at romance again? When
a murder happens on the property next to his, he realizes
that his past has come back to haunt him. Sarah doesn't understand the connection between her and
Justin but nothing she does can stop the feelings. Can she
believe what he tells her about the supernatural or does she
trust her cop's instinct? Can they solve the crime together
or will it drive them apart. IF WISHES WERE HORSES is a love story with paranormal
undertones. Justin is a man who knows how to please a
woman. He also has no problem showing his love for Sarah.
Sarah is a strong woman who has gone through a lot to
become who she is. I found this to be a great love story as
they slowly open up with each other. I do enjoy Ms. Hill's
books.

SummarySarah Wylde did not move from Chicago to a small town to
get involved with a man. Particularly one like Justin
Herne, a man far too mesmerizing and dynamic to be in a
rural town like Lilesville. To make matters worse, Herne
runs a sex shop in the unincorporated limits of Lilesville,
and Sarah is Lilesville's new police chief. She doesn't
care whether or not the locals call it a "women's
sensuality shop" and that Herne is considered a respectable
citizen. She's keeping her eye on him.
The only problem is, Justin is more than happy to stay
within viewing distance. When a ritual murder draws them
together on a case, she finds that maintaining a
professional distance isn't going to be an option.
