REVIEW

"Sensual Suspense"

Dr. Amanda O'Neal is just about ready to admit that she might be over her head with her new job: sexual advice columnist for Vanessa magazine. Taking over the column from the previous author, who was tragically killed in a hit and run accident, seemed so simple at first. It was also the perfect move to get her mind of off her leave of absence from her job in the psychology department at Harmon College. She didn't know that her decision would put her in danger of more than just failing to deliver her first assignment!

Zachary Grant is a P.I. hired by Esther Scott's family, who believe that Esther wasn't just killed, she was murdered. The investigation takes him to Vanessa magazine, and from there straight to Amanda O'Neal's doorstep. Their meeting reawakens feelings in him that he thought were long gone — and fears that he has been running from for years.

Things heat up when the stalker moves in on Amanda, and Zachary appoints himself to take care of her and bring the villain to justice. The secrets that Zach holds could tear their fledgling relationship apart — or be put to rest forever — if they can just survive....

BEDROOM THERAPY is a mix of pulse-pounding suspense and explicitly sexual romance. The characters are lively and though the hero has some dark secrets, the story itself is upbeat. Ms. York pens interesting sexual encounters with some rather odd, reader-pleasing twists. (As in, the hero is looking for therapy, not just an enjoyable affair.) The stalker angle is strictly subplot, even to the hero and heroine, and parts of the plot rely on the P.I. hero making unwise — even unprofessional — decisions, which may lessen a potential reader's enjoyment of the story, but in the end BEDROOM THERAPY is a fun read whose many threads entwine well. The ending is fulfilling and heart-warming — a great read if you're looking for something to while away a lazy afternoon.
