REVIEW

"Will a battle between two alpha werewolves lead to love?"

Logan Hunter, Beta of the Silverback Clan, has been inexplicably antsy lately. Why does he feel like maiming someone, or even better, challenging his best friend Graham Winters for leadership of the clan? When Logan is sent to evaluate the fitness of the female Alpha of a clan under the Silverback Clan's protection, he's relieved to get away for a little while. Logan expects a restful week checking out how things stand in the White Paw Clan since the death of their Alpha and the Beta's ascension to power.

Females rarely are Alpha of their clan, but Honor Tate has no choice. As Beta of the Clan, she was the only person fit to step into her father's shoes. It's not arrogance that tells Honor she is the only one available who has the leadership skills to bring her clan forward into the future. Honor really doesn't want to be the Alpha, but she also won't let her clan regress with an ineffective leader. Just what is an alpha female to do? With challenges from even close childhood friends, she's becoming quite disgusted by it all. Then an envoy from the Silverback Clan shows up, ready to assess her suitability as Alpha. Just what Honor doesn't need or want. To top things off, Honor is entering her heat cycle which will make things very interesting...

Logan and Honor strike sparks right from the start, but Honor refuses to give one inch to this exasperating alpha male. She can take care of herself, thank you very much. Logan is flat-out shocked by his reaction to Honor. There's something about her that tugs at his senses. Just what is it? Has Logan found his mate when he least expected it? And what about the leadership of the clan? Honor doesn't want it, but she won't turn it over to a weaker leader. With a delicious twist near the end, all of the problems are resolved neatly.

Readers have been clamoring for Logan's story since his first appearance in the Fixed series. Logan and Honor make a perfect team, once they finally open up and talk to the other. Honor is alpha enough to keep Logan on his toes for the rest of their lives. Ms. Warren has penned another exciting entry in her Fixed series. There is one more story in the series planned after FUR PLAY and then the author plans to move on to other stories. I can't wait to see what else she has up her sleeve!

Book 6 in the Fixed series.

Summary

Logan Hunter has finally found a woman he wants for his mate. The only problem is, she's already married to his best friend, Graham Winters, who also happens to be his boss—Alpha of the Silverback Clan.

Honor Tate found herself moving up through the ranks of the White Paw Clan, attaining the position of beta when she was only fifteen. Nine years later the Alpha of the White Paw Clan is gone, leaving her to serve as alpha in his stead. Unexpectedly facing challenges from several males in her pack, she asks Graham Winters to acknowledge her right as the new Alpha. It's either that, or fight every would-be challenger, quite possibly to the death—theirs or hers.

Instead, Graham sends Logan to determine Honor's fitness as the new Alpha of the White Paw Clan. Logan's grateful for the chance to get the hell out of town and get his raging hormones under control. Too bad for him that those hormones are going to rage even harder when he meets Honor Tate face to face and realizes that sometimes fate is smarter than your average were.
