"The Royal Family of Alaska will never be the same after this brash American comes into their lives"
Welcome to the wacky alternate universe in THE ROYAL
TREATMENT. In this book, Alaska was never purchased by the
U.S. and is an independent country with a monarchy. When the
King of Alaska needs to find a bride for his eldest son,
hilarity ensues. After physically resisting the sexual advances of her boss,
American Christina Krabbe finds herself broke, alone, and
jobless in a foreign country. Alaska, no less. But when a
rather strange man offers to let her stay at his place,
Chris doesn't accept at first. On finding out that her
would-be benefactor is the King, she thinks he is having a
joke at her expense. In the end, she does show up on the
palace doorstep to take King Al up on his offer. Crown Prince David thinks any woman is as good as another.
He just needs a warm body willing to provide heirs. He's
yet to find a woman to strike his fancy more than the
penguins he so adores. With a Ph.D. in marine biology,
David is no dilettante despite his royal heritage. When
Chris appears unannounced for dinner, David doesn't expect
to find himself so charmed by the brash American. She's
thoroughly unspoiled and speaks her mind. (Boy, does she
ever!) This quirky woman will keep him on his toes and be a
refreshing change from the simpering bimbettes who throw
themselves at him. Chris even calls David offbeat names
like "Penguin Boy" and "Dork of Allen Hall". After a short courtship, if it can even be called that,
David and Chris are engaged. Each has his/her reasons for
agreeing to marriage, none of which include love, at first.
As the wedding plans are hashed out, Chris and David learn
more about their intended. After facing wedding plan
fiascoes and then a true royal crisis, there is no doubt
that this couple was meant for each other. Love makes
dealing with all the hassles of royalty go much smoother. Ms. Davidson has done it again! THE ROYAL TREATMENT has her
well-known sarcastic and off-beat humor in full force.
Definitely not a tearjerker, but rather an enjoyable light
read. Chris is such an irreverent heroine; it's so much fun
to see her shake up palace life. I would love to see another
tale told in this wonderful alternate universe. After all,
there are more siblings, as well as the stories of
certain palace staff members. Prepare yourself for a wild
ride! Sensuality: Mildly explicit sex; sexually explicit scenes: 5

SummaryIn this delightful and dazzling erotic novel, MaryJanice
Davidson creates an alternate contemporary world nearly
identical to ours in which Russia never sold the Alaskan
territory to the United States. Instead, Alaska has won its
independence and established itself as a constitutional
monarchy...and now, the King of Alaska badly needs a bride
for his son and heir...
The country of Alaska is as
forbidding as it is beautiful. And the royal family is as
rough-around-the-edges as they are coolly civilized. Other
royal families may find them shocking, but after all, in
this wilderness kingdom, being a crack shot and expert
trapper is just as important as knowing your salad fork from
your dessert fork. Unfortunately, when the rest of the
royals find you mildly savage, marrying off your royal brood
can be a royal pain. King Alexander II is desperate. Why,
he'd settle for any girl. A commoner. An American, even!
Stranded tourist Christina Krabbe is American, and a
commoner, but she has zero interest in enduring a royal
wedding, producing royal heirs, and becoming Queen of
Alaska...until she gets a good look at Prince David. He may
be a bit unruly--actually, the words untamed and slightly
dangerous come to mind--but Christina's no delicate flower
herself. And when His Highness discovers Christina can give
as good as she gets, he's Prince Charmed, if not quite
charming. But can a wild man Prince and a modern American
girl make a life together? And will the palace still be
standing when the dust clears?
