REVIEW

"Can the St. Vincent curse be cured by Winter Solstice"

The St. Vincent family has lived under a curse for over a century. Mysterious deaths and tragedies were blamed on the Earl by the local villages. Alain, the new Earl, had been told the only way to break the curse was to wed and mate with his wife at the upcoming Winter Solstice. When he receives a message from a Baron to his dead brother, as the new Earl he decides to honor the request and he travels to Whitehurst to claim his bride.

Lady Eleanor "Lea" Whitehurst's father is dying from food poisoning. Her brother was killed on the battlefield and there is only a cousin who will inherit the title. Her father knows that the cousin will sell her to the highest bidder so he wants her to marry Brian St. Vincent, not realizing that he was dead. She had promised her father that she would marry St. Vincent when he arrived.

Even with it not being Brian, Lea's father wanted her to marry Alain. Alain finds everything about Lea appealing to his senses. He can't believe his luck but can he convince her to mate during the Winter Solstice? Will all the rumors about the curse keep Lea from the marrying Alain? What about Alain's crazy mother who is locked in the attic?

DARK SIDE OF THE MOON is set in medieval England, during the troubled times of pagan rituals and Christianity. The fertility rituals were common during this period. Ms. JacobS has done a great job of weaving history with romance. This will satisfy anyone who likes a darker read.

Summary

A dying man's last wish: Protect Lea. Make her your bride.

Marrying the lovely, sensual Lea will be no hardship for Alain, newly Earl of St. Vincent. Keeping her safe may be another matter all together.

For a curse lies upon the St. Vincent lands, and unless Alain can convince his new bride to trust him, join with him in the fertility rites of the Winter Solstice, her life and his lands may be forfeit.

Rumors, of murder and mayhem laid at Alain's feet. Legends, of giants and piskies and ancient Druids come to life. Seers and magic and sexual excesses. Thrust from her sheltered life into the midst of a nightmare, Lea must rely on her instincts.

Alain's dark passions seduce her heart. She craves his touch, but it will take more than passion to bring St. Vincent back from the Dark Side of the Moon.
