"A hot, sultry werewolf story!"

Jessica Talvert has come to New Orleans at the height of Mardi Gras with the hope that she can find out more about her birth parents and the mystery surrounding them. While she is watching the party-goers on the street, her necklace is stolen. Not willing to part with an item that she's worn for years, she takes off running after the thief and ends up in a dark alley.

Gabriel Benoit, one of the many Lycan that haunt the city, spots Jessica in the crowd and is instantly attracted. He knows, from the first moment he sees her, that she is his mate. Only, he needs to claim her before someone else does. When Gabriel also goes after the thief and is successful in getting the necklace back, he requests a kiss for the return of the necklace. At first Jessica isn't sure if she's run into more trouble than she can handle when she sees Gabriel in the alley. He's the sexiest man that she has ever seen and she's instantly in lust. Gabriel uses all of his charm to seduce Jessica. But why does it seem that Gabriel knows more about Jessica's past than he is telling her? When problems arise with Gabriel's pack, will Gabriel have to give Jessica up, even if they are meant to be together forever?

This was an awesome read. Gabriel is the ultimate Cajun fantasy hero! Their first kiss in the alley took my breath away! Jessica was a strong woman who was used to taking care of herself. I would have liked to learn a little bit more of Jessica's past and how she grew up. I enjoyed the dialogue between Gabriel and Jessica. They had wonderful chemistry together. The action scenes were very realistic. I could picture every detail. This is a wonderful book that I would recommend if you're interested in reading a book filled with action, scorching love scenes and interesting characters.

This is the third book in Ms. Anwar's werewolf series. If you haven't read the first two stories, I would recommend reading them first so you can understand a little more about the background of the Lycans.
