REVIEW

"Gripping Erotic Suspense"

Peta Matthews and Max Wolfe aren't exactly best buddies, let alone smoking lovers. In fact, Peta's pretty much convinced that Max is nothing more than a ne'er do well playboy — a reputation Max is quite happy to live down to. But that's all going to change when winter-slick drive home leaves Peta with the knowledge that she's got to get Max to open his heart, somehow. The fire that leaves Max homeless helps too, of course. But heart-unlocking destinies aside, Max and Peta have a bigger threat on their hands. A murderer is loose in their small New England town and if they can't work together to solve the mysteries surrounding them, both their lives may be in danger.

PETA AND THE WOLFE is a gripping novel of erotic, romantic suspense. Fans of Kelly's previous work will be pleased to see that this novels ties into not one but two of her earlier novel worlds, being in fact, a sequel of sorts to HANSELL AND GRETTY and another volume in her Guardians of Time series. Don't be fooled, however, as this book, despite its partnership with other novels, stands proudly on its own feet. It has a wide range of characters, an exquisite romantic storyline, and enough smoldering-hot sex to please any reader. The characterization is excellent — Max and Peta truly come alive. Be warned, however, that as a novel of suspense PETA isn't all fun and games. Murder, some rather rough sex, and a lot of mystery also feature in this thrilling tale. If you're up for an exciting, emotionally (and physically) fulfilling ride, PETA AND THE WOLFE is for you.

Sensuality Level: This book has been rated "E-rotic" by the publisher.

Summary

Max Wolfe is a very successful predator in the contemporary jungle. He might have let Emma Hansell slip through his clutches to marry Michael Gretty, but since then his conquests have been willing, luscious, and never left his bed unsatisfied. So why isn't Max satisfied any more? It's not Emma, and it certainly isn't Jasmine Wietsch. Maybe it's that darned woman he's working with...

Peta Matthews is only too aware of her ordinary body, and the appealing charm of Max Wolfe. She has resigned herself to the fact that the two are mutually exclusive. What she doesn't expect is to be plunged into an adventure complete with murders, mysteries—and Max. And she certainly never dreamed that she might play an important role in the future.

But the Guardians of Time know. Peta and Max both have roles to play. Ones that will take them to the edge of existence, and the borders of insanity. Because a madman is on the loose in a quiet New England town, and only Peta's love can save the day. Only she can tame the Wolfe and set time back on track. But first, she'll have to seduce his body and find that most elusive prey of all...his heart.

Sexual Content: E-rotic. Genre: Paranormal.
