"The Birthday Gift"

Amanda's birthday is coming up and Jake wants to give her a gift that she would never expect. Amanda had done so much to help him get his horse ranch going that he wanted to give her the one sexual fantasy that she always dreamed about. He'sgoing to give her the threesome with another man she fantasized about. The only man he trusts with his wife is his almost identical cousin, Patrick. He had grown up with Patrick and they share a strong bond. It doesn't take much for Patrick to agree to Jake's idea. Now all Jake has to do is convince Amanda to enjoy her present.

Jake and Patrick are both strong, sexy men who want Amanda to have the experience of her lifetime. I had a little trouble with Jake sharing his wife, but it was handled in such a way that you realize how much he loves his wife and he wouldn't share her with just anyone. A hot read that is very well written.

"It's in the Cards"

Catherine Ryan has always given her older sister two birthday card. One emotional card telling her sister how much she loved her, and one just to make her laugh. This year a card caught her attention -- a nude man reclining on a bed. What shocked her was that it was same man who had filled her dreams for quite a while. So she took the card home. When she rubs her fingers over the card and wishes he was real, she releases Kane from his 'prison'. Will he be able to stay with the woman he loves? Or will he go back into the card?

Catherine and Kane are so comfortable with each other that you are rooting for them throughout the story. Although it doesn't seem to work out, Ms. LaFleur ties it all up in the end.

"One Thing to Give"

Lindsay Cunningham, a hair stylist, is celebrating her thirtieth birthday with a group of friends. After living with a family where divorce and failed relationships are the norm, she decides that all she wants is a one-night stand to celebrate her birthday. And she has her eye on the handsome guy working at the bar. Before the night is over she gets her wish, but can she walk away from Samuel McKeifer when he is everything she had ever wanted and then some.

I loved this story. San and Lindsay are so hot together. Sam was not going to let her get away no matter what. I loved this heartwarming of love and romance. This is a must- read if you like romance.

"Unexpected"

Computer guru Linc Carter was used to pouring his best friend into bed after a night of celebrating his birthday. For his own birthday the next day, Linc was going to spend it alone in his mountain cabin. On the way up to the cabin, he sees something fly through the sky and land in the snow. Retrieving the box, he discovers it's a damaged spaceship with a little blue alien. Who would have thought that little blue alien would turn into a gorgeous woman. Can Linc help her get home? Does he want her to go home? What about Chandra -- she seems happy with Linc as she discover all about making love.

"Unexpected" is a delightful novella about loving with an alien. I loved that Linc would do anything he could to make sure Chandra can get home even when he didn't want her to leave.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, BABY has something for everyone. I wished some of the stories were a little longer as I hated for them to end, but overall it's a good read.
