REVIEW

"A healer by nature, has she been kidnapped to use her powers to cause harm?"

After finding her ex-boyfriend (who is also now her ex-boss) in bed with another woman, Claire Holiday seeks comfort in the soothing sights and sounds of the beach. When a dolphin unexpectedly beaches itself, Claire decides to use her healing powers to aid the mammal. She doesn't normally display her talent to others, but she can't ignore a helpless animal. But this dolphin is part of a trap laid to capture a healer to assist the rebels of Atalantium. When the dolphin transforms into a handsome (and naked!) man, Claire is stunned. And then she finds herself dragged away into the depths of the ocean.

The "dolphin" is Eros, who has recently joined the rebel group determined to raise Atlantis once again. They are tired of the self-imposed exile in the sea that their people chose hundreds of years ago. Is Eros a true convert to the rebel cause? No one seems to know for sure and his trustworthiness is in question. Eros is immediately drawn to Claire. Will Claire agree to help the rebels? Will Eros be forced to watch the woman he desires be forced to use her talents for evil?

Unable to communicate without the rebels mentally eavesdropping, Claire must decide if Eros can be trusted or not. Will the rebels kill Claire if she is unable to help them? What are they keeping from her? She knows that they haven't told her the full truth. With death and mayhem on their mind, the rebels launch a bloody battle for "freedom" for their race. Will this be the end of Atlantis?

The final chapter in the Atlantis trilogy by Ms. Morin, MAIDEN OF ATLANTIS is best understood if the previous two stories are read prior to this one. At last, the readers get to see some of the story from the hero's point of view. Although the ending leaves many questions as to the ultimate future of the Atalanteans, readers can relax and know that Eros and Claire will be together through it all. An interesting twist on the myth of Atlantis, you'll be hooked from the start!

Sensuality: Rated carnal by the publisher. Explicit sex, attempted rape (not by hero); sexually explicit scenes: 4
