"Wait till you see what a cardboard hero can teach an author"
Victoria (Tory) Townsend is a writer of sweet, tender
romance where the heroine never even gets close to having
sex. Now her life is totally upside down thanks to
ex-husband Henry. After living together for years in a
mostly loveless marriage, Henry runs off with a younger
woman -- along with all their money. Now Tory is flat broke
and losing her home, it's time to try to jump start her
writing career. It time to pull out her cardboard hero to
help her. He had been her "fantasy man" since she started
her career. Years ago, a hunk of man posed for her first
cover, he had been appearing on every cover since. She had
never seen the model again, but she had a cardboard copy as
her inspiration to write. The more Tory tries to write sexier romance, the more alive
her dream man becomes, until she has trouble knowing
whether he is just in her head or all around her. She has
to recreate him a little at a time. First she has to bring
him into this century, and then she has to make him smarter,
and give him a sex drive. Surprisingly, that's an area that
she is enjoying. Evan has been talked into keeping a watch on Tory by his
sister, Tory's agent. Someone looking for her husband is
making her life dangerous. Tory moves into Evan's house but
can she tell the different between a real hero and a
cardboard one? CARDBOARD HERO is pleasure to read. I loved Evan and wished
I could have read more about him. Tory is an older woman
who finally finds love with a younger man. I can easily
believe that an author can fall in love with her hero, after
all the readers do. This is a wonderfully written story
that you won't want to put down. A must read.

SummaryEwan MacKenzie. A dangerous man. In control of almost every
situation—except the woman who haunts his fantasies.
A desperate woman who has found her hero. He's perfect. The
embodiment of every fantasy Tory's ever written. There's
only one little problem. Tory writes sweet romances. Her
perfect lover's not anatomically correct! That's a problem
she should be able to solve. But how do you describe a
penis?
