"Revenge doesn't always end the way you intend, sometimes you get even more"
Riona Chattan-Campbell has spent the last three years
plotting to kill Captain Ewan MacKenzie. She holds him
responsible for death of her husband. The need to get
revenge is the only thing keeping her going. Being of the
Highland heritage, she feels that only with the death of
this killer can she be free. Ewan MacKenzie is tired of fighting. He has already lost
everything he ever dreamed about. Now all he has left is
the nightmares that won't let him sleep. To help his
Highlanders he smuggles his people out to safety to the
continent. When he gets done he wants to head to the
Colonies to start over. All he has to do is get through
this last trip. Ewan can sense that Riona could mean his death, but he is
too tired to resist. He thinks she is changeling, but as he
watches her he realizes that she is just a woman out for
revenge. But it doesn't take long for Riona to realize that
there was more to Ewan than she had ever thought. Is it
possible Ewan has met the one woman who can save his soul?
