"Will a control freak learn to relax and take a chance on love?"
Sheila Gibson has control issues. Dominated by her Senator
father her entire life, she cannot abide not having control
in her life. Sheila has been trying to push her own
boundaries by moving across the country, but she still finds
herself reluctant to challenge her fears. A dare from her
co-worker at the Tribune has Sheila ready to
celebrate her thirtieth birthday by taking a tandem skydive
jump. She didn't expect the instant attraction that springs
up between her and one of the jumpmasters. Former Special Forces soldier Ray Walker left the military
to try to find a home. He was content during his military
years, but the horrors he's seen had begun to eat at him.
Ray hasn't had time for a personal life lately, as he's been
helping to get the business he co-owns with two of his
buddies off the ground. They operate a skydiving school
called The Jump Zone. Ray feels drawn to Sheila from the
instant he sees her. Will he be able to get past the
roadblocks she throws at him? Ray and Sheila sizzle in the bedroom, but Sheila has to
learn to live recklessly and take a chance on love. Ray is
patient, but even he has his limits. He refuses to be a one
night stand or her sexual plaything. Will Sheila trust him
with her heart? Or will her fears cause their relationship
to end before it can truly begin? The second in a planned trilogy, DARING SHEILA is the story
of one woman's emergence from her protective shell. Ray is a
wonderful hero, knowing when to push Sheila and when to let
things go. You don't have to read the first story in the
trilogy to understand this installment from Ms. Jones; it
can stand alone. I look forward to learning more about
Jason, the third partner in The Jump Zone enterprise. A
quick, pleasing narrative sure to satisfy fans of
contemporary romances. Sensuality: Rated Bonfire by the publisher. Explicit sex;
sexually explicit scenes: 5 Reviewer's Note: This latest story in the Jump Zone series
appears to have been proofread better than the first story,
ALL THE RIGHT SPOTS. I only found one glaring error -- a
case
of homonym misuse. Spell-check is great, but unfortunately,
it doesn't tell you when you've used the wrong word but have
spelled it correctly.
