"Short and very humorous vampire story"

Claire Treemont worked as a coroner, when one night a striking male body appeared on her slab at the morgue. Claire can't wait for the start of her two-week vacation starting tomorrow. She needs one; besides talking to the cadavers, she had no social life. Well, who would want to go out with a coroner anyways? Some thought they were only good for rotten jokes.

Zachariah "Zach" Kowalski, the once glassy blue-eyed specimen on the table, didn't want Claire to cut into him with the scalpel. Zach has all the things that Claire could want, a melting velvet voice, and he's big all everywhere, but most of all he wanted Claire, and he wanted her now.

No one in Claire's existence is as good with sex as Zach. It couldn't have been as good for him as it was for her, but then he goes and passes out. What's a girl to do but take him home with her? She'd be a fool not to use him until he was tired of her. How is Claire going to take it when Zach tells her that besides having a little problem with falling asleep anytime, anywhere, he's also a vampire, and they're meant to be together for eternity?

IT'S A VAMPIRE THING is a quick read, with humor splattered throughout. IT'S A VAMPIRE THING also has a mystery. Zach needs to find out who has been killing Claire throughout history. While in one instance you want to hit Claire on the head for the idiotic stunt she pulls, she redeems herself in the end. You will find yourself involved in IT'S A VAMPIRE THING to the point to where, when Zach calls Claire 'stupid', you know the he's asking for trouble.

Your mind plans possible future stories for Zach and Claire. What would Claire do if she finds out she's pregnant? Wondering what type of morning sickness vampires have. Ms. Cassidy has a noteworthy story in IT'S A VAMPIRE THING. I hope we see at least one future story of this outrageous pair.

Summary

Claire Treemont lives a quiet, mundane life, until she meets Zachariah...he's tall, dark, fabulous and very dead! He's also a vampire with a quirky medical issue and an enlightened view on vampires in modern day society. Zach is exciting and campy and he claims Claire is his life mate.

Claire sure won't argue with this hunk of a blood sucker, not after the wild lust he evokes in her with just a dimpled grin. The hunky Zach is everything to rival a girls wildest fantasies and more. His voracious appetite for Claire makes her a ready and willing participant in this vampire thing but there's one small problem...and it shows up in the way of fate and a nasty villain or two...
