"This Christmas Traci will get everything she wants"
Traci Campbell was miserable. Rick, her husband of
seventeen years, had been so wrapped up in his job as a
small business system coordinator that he was ignoring her
and their kids. He had even gone to work on Thanksgiving and
not returned until after midnight. For reasons she didn't
understand, they hadn't made love in four months. A month ago she told him about her concerns; now here it
was two days before Christmas and nothing had changed. She
remembered their conversation. She had accused him of
cheating on her and he had reminded her that she had quit
cooking homemade meals and greeting him at the door like
she still cared. So she had spent the month working on her
end of the discussion. She just wished he had kept his end
as well. As Traci walks into her home, she finds her favorite meal
on the table, along with a long florist box and a manila
envelope with her name on it. Inside the box is roses and
poem from Rick. The note in the envelope says, "This is the
exact meal that we had on our first night in this house."
Thus starts a mental tour down memory lane with sexual
suggestions along the way. RINGING IN THE SEASON is a great look at what life and work
can do to a marriage, let alone your sex life. I loved all
the effort that Rick went to prove he still loved Traci. A
great Christmas read. You won't want to pass up this
quickie. It's number 5 of Ellora's Cave 12 Quickies of
Christmas.
