When a sex god rescues her precious necklace from the mugger, she's struck speechless at first. His heavy-handed seduction scares her, though, and she does her best to resist him. She's nothing special, so why did he pick her?

Jessica is under threat from multiple predators, the tamest of whom is Gabriel. She doesn't buy into this werewolf and vampire war she hears about. There are no such things as vampires and werewolves, after all. When Gabriel keeps popping up whenever she's out in public, Jessica finds herself increasingly drawn to him. The man just oozes sex. Too bad, she's not here for pleasure. After Gabriel saves her from a vicious attack, she decides to live in the moment and seize the day.

BORN OF NIGHT is the third installment in Ms. Anwar's Lycan series. I definitely recommend that readers read the first two stories to gain background information on the Lycans and their war with the vampires. Squeamish readers may want to skip over the many scenes of bloodshed.
