"A campy twist on the vampire myth"

Coroner Claire Treemont leads a mundane life, working the night shift at the morgue. Her offbeat sense of humor livens things up as she performs autopsies on the clientele. When an incredibly hunky male specimen ends up on her table, Claire can't help but be impressed by his muscled physique. She's shocked when the "corpse" comes to life. He vows that he has to have her now, and proceeds to do so. Okay, Claire must be dreaming, but she's gonna enjoy it.

Zachariah Kowalski is a vampire, searching for his life mate. He finds her time and time again, only to be foiled by someone who kills Claire before their bonding ceremony can be completed. With each reincarnation, Zach vows to protect Claire, only to fail each time. Of course, his narcolepsy is a big part of why he is defeated each time. It's hard to protect your life mate when you're snoring away, dead to the world.

The next morning, Zach has a lot of explaining to do. He is forbidden to interfere with fate by telling Claire of her past lives and the fact that someone will try to kill her. Instead, Zach can only tell her that she is his life mate, but he cannot turn her into a vampire now. Of course, Claire is too stubborn to accept this answer, so a tug of wills ensues. How far will Claire go to get the answers she demands? Will Claire fall into the trap that has caught her before in past lives?

IT'S A VAMPIRE THING is a humorous poke at the vampire mythology. C'mon, a narcoleptic vampire? Too funny. Claire and Zach have a bright future to look forward to, once they get past the pesky murderer stalking her. Ms. Cassidy has penned a novel tale that is tongue-in-cheek throughout. Fans of campy romantic adventure will love this tale.

Summary

Claire Treemont lives a quiet, mundane life, until she meets Zachariah...he's tall, dark, fabulous and very dead! He's also a vampire with a quirky medical issue and an enlightened view on vampires in modern day society. Zach is exciting and campy and he claims Claire is his life mate.

Claire sure won't argue with this hunk of a blood sucker, not after the wild lust he evokes in her with just a dimpled grin. The hunky Zach is everything to rival a girls wildest fantasies and more. His voracious appetite for Claire makes her a ready and willing participant in this vampire thing but there's one small problem...and it shows up in the way of fate and a nasty villain or two...
