"A beautiful woman warms up to love."
Winter Stevens is shocked when the artist who painted her
shows her a nude portrait. She never posed nude--how
scandalous! To make matters worse, an unknown benefactor
commissioned the portrait for his private collection.
Neighbors and friends will see the portrait and she will be
a disgrace. No one will believe that she posed with her
clothes on. Oh, what's a spinster to do? As Winter is
leaving the painter's studio, she sees a familiar face from
her past. Logan Cordell has just returned to America from England,
where he was settling his estranged father's estate. When
he left Virginia he was poor, but now that his father has
passed not only is he wealthy but he is also titled. He
greets Winter with a coolness that does not betray his real
feelings. Logan has loved Winter from the moment he met her
several years ago. Unfortunately, she publicly humiliated
him and their parting was not on good terms. The encounter
hurt Logan and left him with the impression that Winter is
a cold woman. But he has commissioned a portrait which he
will use to get revenge whil enjoying the pleasures Winter
denied him years before. I thoroughly enjoyed this story. The title was a great play
on the theme of the story. Winter is a beautiful woman with
unusual coloring (white blond hair and very fair skin), she
is reserved and untouched. Logan refers to her as an ice
princess, but as he slowly breaks through her defenses she
changes into a warm, loving woman. I've read other books by Ms. Fox but this is my favorite. I
thought the characterization was really good and the
dialogue sparkled. My favorite scene was when they were in
the theater box surrounded by people and Logan was
administering... Well I won't give it away, you'll have to
read it, but I promise you won't be disappointed. Rating: Carnal. Sensuality: oral sex, explicit sex. Reviewed by Angela Black for Sensual Romance.

SummaryThe painting was supposed to be a tasteful portrait
... what Winter Stevens found instead was a nude of
herself, dubbed The Ice Princess, and commissioned by a man
she'd thought never to see again ... Logan Cordell, the
Earl of Remington....
...a man whose nearness flushed her with a strange mix of
fear and desire. She could earn the painting back. All she
need do was submit to his every demand....
