Marketing executive Josie Montgomery is planning to temporarily shed her business persona and indulge in a torrid, cruise ship affair. She has to take care of just one piece of business first, or her vacation will be canceled. Josie had suggested sponsoring a NASCAR driver as a promotional tool. That suggestion is now about to bite her in the butt. The driver in question is refusing to hold up his end of the contract, leaving Josie in the lurch.

NASCAR's latest celebrity, Kyle Patterson, has reasons for not living up to the terms of his contract. If he could just get the double-dealing head of Macom to talk to him face-to-face, Kyle is sure they can work their problems out. So when another of Macom's minions tries to bully him, Kyle is ready to fight back. Too bad his enemy is the most appealing woman he's ever met. Feisty and pretty, though not cover-model beautiful, she attracts him as no woman has before.

Josie and Kyle give off enough heat to spontaneously combust. Will Kyle break through Josie's shell to the passionate woman underneath? Josie doesn't know why Kyle wants to spend time with her; she's nothing special. Josie's fierce determination and refusal to wooed by his fame are what draws Kyle to her. Can he convince her to give him a chance?

Josie has issues with professional athletes, which color her dealings with Kyle. She can't resist his sensual overtures and gives in for the time being. He requests her presence on the month-long tour and she agrees. When their relationship becomes public, will Josie be able to handle the heat, or will this relationship be over before it has fully bloomed?

GOING TOO FAST is surprisingly sweet, while still having an erotic edge. I really liked both Kyle and Josie as a couple, especially when Kyle made a point of learning Josie's likes and dislikes. Ms. Jones has written a fast-paced, tender love story we can all enjoy. Kyle is just perfect -- and he does have a brother...

Summary

Josie Montgomery is an overworked executive of Macom Beverages who has allowed ambition to leave her bedroom empty, and her body wanting. Her remedy is a tropical cruise, soaking in the sun and fun, and finding her way into a long overdue vacation fling.

Kyle Patterson is the hottest thing NASCAR has seen in years, with a bad boy reputation, compliments of the press, he doesn't really deserve. Dedicated to jump starting his brother Ryan's career. When Macom tries to pull Ryan's contract based on his first few races, Kyle vows he goes if Ryan does.

Josie can't believe her vacation has just been cancelled! Ordered to track down Kyle Patterson, and make him meet his contractual agreement, she has every intention of putting the troublemaking man in his place. What she doesn't expect is the impact Kyle has on her. He's infuriating, arrogant, and so darn sexy she can't think straight. So when Kyle promises to meet his contract obligations on the condition she joins him on the road for a month, Josie decides the sinfully sexy man is simply too tempting to resist.

Kyle has never felt the kind of instant, sizzling heat he feels for Josie with any other woman. Their chemistry is molten hot, and addictive. Josie challenges him both in and out of bed, and suddenly Kyle can't imagine a future without her by his side.
