REVIEW

"For readers who like to go beyond sexual boundaries"

Beatrix "Bea" Clouet and her best friend Lela are looking for Mr. Right. This book tells the story of their adventures along the way.

Bea has secretly been in love with her stepfather, Philip Carmichael, for years, but she has resisted giving in to her desire. When her powerful mother dies, Bea and Philip begin a long journey toward each other. Philip was 20 years younger than his wealthy wife. Evangeline Clouet was the founder of a chain of exclusive designer boutiques and her daughter, Bea, is closer to his age. Bea and her mother were never close but when she died she left the company to Bea, and Philip must run the business as he always has.

Lela is about to strike the deal of her life--business training from an expert--but it's not going to be free. Simon Graves is a powerful man who has the business expertise Lela needs. When Lela asks for his help she gets more than she bargained for.

In this book as well as other works by Ms. Holly, she demonstrates her excellent commend of fiction writing. Her characters are always multidimensional, expressing the many facets of human life and action. Her scenery descriptions draw the reader into the character's world. Her plots are parallel with many turns that do not always end up where the reader might expect. That said, I did not enjoy this book but it was not because the story was poorly written. It was mainly because I began reading it expecting a romance, which it is not--it's all about sex. There was too much partner sharing without the benefit of emotional investment or responsibility for my taste. For those readers who like to go beyond standard sexual boundaries, you'll enjoy this book. For those readers who just like good writing no matter the subject, you'll enjoy this book. For traditionalists like myself--skip it.

Rating: erotic. Sensuality: oral sex, multiple partners.
