Evena McClure has spent the last five years in the Dominion Penitentiary. She is the Cell Block Captain of 400 other female prisoners. In a few weeks she will get a pardon that her family had arranged for her, and she's not going to do anything to jeopardize the pardon. She wants revenge on the man who set her up. While she is trying to save some of her guards from a crazy prisoner, the prison is taken over by pirates.

Captain Adamarik (Adam) Zingh has taken over the penitentiary with his men. He is on a mission -- the pirates are seeking wives who can bear them children. The female prisoners will get their freedom and go with the pirates to set up a new colony. When Adam first sees Evena he is immediately attracted to her. But can he convince her to be his wife.

Evena has been without sex for the last year, she didn't know how much she missed it until Adam fires up her desires. Nothing will be the same for either of them. Since Evena doesn't want to lose her pardon she offers to help Adam get a bride. While at the same time Adam is determined to show Evena how good they could be together.

Will Evena give up her revenge and agree to be Adam's wife? Will all the pirates be able to find wives? What about all the women that will be left behind?

PRISONER OF DESIRE is Delilah Devlin's first novel. I can't wait to see what she can come up with next. This is a very erotic adventure that you won't want to put down. I loved the pirates. Evena and Adam are strong characters that will have you rooting for them to stay together. Even the secondary characters were colorful. I highly recommend this novel for anyone who loves pirates and romance.

Summary

Captain Adamarik Zingh and his pirate crew have captured many a ship, pillaged their cargoes, pleasured their women, while thumbing their noses at the Dominion's authority. But pirating is a lonely business and Adam and his men have entered a pact to set down roots, self-govern without Dominion interference, and raise families on an uninhabited planet at the edge of the known galaxy. What they need now are wives.

Evena McClure is the elected Cell Block Captain aboard a Dominion penitentiary serving her time along with nearly 400 female prisoners. When pirates overtake their ship Evena resists, mindful of her duty to protect the women. When the pirate captain offers freedom to only a hundred of the prisoners, Evena and the women form alliances to broker a deal to free more of their sisters.

The pirates and the prisoners have only a week to seduce the other side to their will.
