"The second book is as good as the first!"

This is the second book in the Some Like It Hot trilogy by Jamie Denton and this is Drew's story. Drew's been called in to investigate what looks to be arson at Velma Norris' cooking school. When the third so-called fire starts at the school, Velma is hurt and has to go to the hospital. When Drew goes back to the school to have another look around, he sees what looks like a woman skulking around the porch of Velma's home which is right next to the school.

Emily Dugan is not having a good day. She's lost her advertising job. She's trying to get over a horrible case of the flu and now she finds out that her Grandy isn't even home to greet her. Then when she turns around, she practically bumps into the most gorgeous man, who asks her what she's doing. She promptly faints in his arms.

Drew can't believe his luck. What is it with him? He hates hospitals and now finds himself going right back to the hospital with the woman who faints in his arms. He finally finds out she's Velma's granddaughter and she's come for a visit. What's she going to do when she finds out that he's investigating Velma for arson? This can't be a good thing. Then he is congratulated on Emily's pregnancy. Oh my! Emily cannot believe she's pregnant as well, especially not since Cheating Charlie kicked her out of their apartment. What is she supposed to do now?

This book is as good as the first one and I thoroughly enjoyed the read. I cannot wait to see what Jamie Denton's cooked up for Ben, the oldest brother. I highly recommend this series!
