"Will the love of a witch convince this tomcat to settle down?"
Were-jaguar Rafael de Santos is more intrigued than worried
at being followed by a person who's rather inept at stealth.
When his enhanced senses tell him that his shadow is a woman
-- a witch, actually -- his feline curiosity comes roaring
to life. So Rafe decides to turn the tables on his
would-be tail. But he didn't expect the instant attraction
that flares between them. Tess Menzies has been sent to deliver a message to Rafe from
the Witches Council. She can't help but be curious about the
mysterious shapeshifter, so she decides to see where he's
going at 1 a.m. in the morning. She's taken aback when Rafe
traps her in an alley, demanding to know her reasons for
pursuing him. Well, the truth is a little bit embarrassing,
so she tries to brazen it out. Hah! Like that'll work! With the sizzling sensuality that burns between them, of
course Rafe and Tess will become lovers that very night.
Will Rafe still want Tess after that first glow of passion
subsides? After all, Felines are well known for being
tomcats. They are cats, after all. No lifelong mating
nonsense for them. And just why exactly does the Witches
Council want with the Council of Others? Is it for a simple
meeting as portrayed? Or is there a more sinister reason for
the requested powwow? Readers of Ms. Warren's previous works in the Fixed series
will be delighted by the appearance of previous characters.
They don't just appear for the sake of an appearance, they
actually play a role in the relationship between Rafe and
Tess. Humor is liberally laced throughout the tale,
enhancing the story. I just love seeing an alpha male fall
hard for his mate, and Rafe is no exception. FUR FOR ALL is
definitely a worthy contribution to the Fixed series. I just
may have to start hunting for a shapeshifter for my own --

SummaryIn Manhattan, witches and werefolk have been giving each
other the silent treatment for nearly 400 years, but now
someone wants to renew diplomatic relations. When she's
picked for the job, Tess can't believe it. She might be a
witch, but she's hardly a miracle worker.
In the end, tracking down Rafael De Santos, the head of the
Council of Others, turns out to be the easy part. The hard
part is falling in love with him. And the really hard part
is convincing this werecat to stop tomcatting around.
Luckily for Tess, some things are just meant to be.
