"Can Mischief lead to love?"
Avalon hates the idea of marrying a stranger, but she must
comply with her father's wishes. It's just that she has
never met a man who interested her enough to love. So she
does what she always does when she feels pressured by
life -- She goes hunting in the woods by her castle. When
something jumps out of the woods, her horse throws her and
then all she knows is darkness. When she awakens and
slowly walks towards the castle, a stranger comes out of
woods towards her. The next thing she knows, she the
captive of a shaggy man who resembles a wolf. Why did she
ever leave home? Lord "Brand" Brandeis is on his way to get married. The
last thing he wanted to do was give up his freedom. But his
father's ailing health makes him duty bound to secure a
wife. He comes upon a pleasant girl dressed in men's
clothes. She's beautiful, just what he needs to get through
his last night of freedom. So he ties her up and heads
towards a hunter's cottage he had just passed. Avalon finds her tied to a post in the ceiling with her feet
barely touching the ground. She knows she is about to be
raped and pleads to keep her maidenhead. But as he slowly
works on her body, she soon finds herself a willing partner
to night of delight. She manages to escape in the early
morning hours as he slept. Hurrying home, she knew that she
had only hours before her new husband arrives. What would
he say when he found out she was no longer a virgin? When
it's time for her wedding she goes down to the hall with a
heavy veil on. To her surprise the man from last night was
waiting to be her groom. Can they get past their
experiences of last night? Will Brand be able to convince
Avalon that he wants her as both his mistress and wife?
Will love win out over all their misunderstandings? MEDIEVAL MISCHIEF will grab hold of you and not release your
emotions until you get to the end. Ms. Hurn's characters
come alive as they deal with all their misunderstanding.
You go right along for the ride as Avalon and Brand learn to
communicate and fall in love. This is not my first novel by
Ms. Hurn but it is becoming increasing hard to pick a
favorite from her books. Anything by Mlyn Hurn is a delight
to read. This is a great erotica historical novel that you
won't want to miss.
