REVIEW

"Look out, Anita Blake! The Hunters are coming!"

Tori McAdams is just doing her job, trying to help a down- on-her-luck, scared ex-stripper, but this stripper's monster is more than even she can handle. She goes to ground and calls for backup — sexy cop Declan Reilly, to be precise. Too bad she's already been found by the time he gets her messages. She survives through luck, will, and advice from a source not on this Earth. But she needs help.

Declan is amazed that Tori's still alive, and determined to keep her that way. The Master vampire is still out there. A showdown is inevitable, and even with Declan's secrets, triumph will be a difficult matter.

THE HUNTERS is a blazingly hot start to what looks to be a great new series in the vein of Laurell K. Hamilton's popular Anita Blake series. In fact, THE HUNTERS would be a perfect read for those who find Anita's moral hang-ups nonconducive to plot enjoyment. Ms. Walker jumps in with a story of monsters and magic, decadence and surrender, starting with a bang and going from there. The sex is explosive and unrestrained — THE HUNTERS is a thrill for those who enjoy threesome romances. The adventure is exciting, the tension throughout pulse-pounding. Even the action scenes are fast, though not gruesome or excessively violent. One can only hope that this series is as amazing as its first book predicts, as contemporary paranormal fans are in for a real treat!

Sensuality Level: This novel has been rated "E-erotic" by the publisher.
