REVIEW

"The second story in the Atalantium series"

Stephanie "Stevie" Reynolds is a scientist studying life in the sea. While working, she stumbles upon a Miami drug lord's underwater cache. Being a good citizen, she reports her find to the authorities. At first she's treated like she's the one who did something wrong then they offer her protection. Now her life was in danger from this drug lord even though she's in witness protection. The only problem is that there seems to be a leak and now even the FBI can't protect her.

Stevie decides to take control of her life and goes out on her own. She knows that the scientific community disagrees on the Bermuda Triangle but she decides to go there anyway to do some exploring. While exploring a sunken wreck, she comes across something that has her thinking she's hallucinating. She sees a merman who seems to be taking a nap. He's the most beautiful man she's ever seen but he has a tail!

Adonis was banished from his people in Atalantium for a period of one year. He had brought an outsider to their world without the prior consent of the leaders. Even though his time away from home is coming from an end, he's still very lonely. Suddenly his lonely life changes in a flash.

Somehow those working for the drug lord find Stevie and her life is once more in danger. The drug lord's thugs attack her; Adonis saves her life but she's still not sure if she's hallucinating. Will he be able to save her from the killers that are after her? Will they be able to find a life together since they come from such different worlds?

This is the second installment in a trilogy. I found this to be an enjoyable addition and I'm looking forward to the next story. The world Ms. Morin created was interesting to read about and the characters were easy to care about.
