REVIEW

"A vampire party that leaves you wanting MORE"

Nathan Cotton receives an invitation to a party -- not just any party but a vampire party. While he could pack up everything and leave town it would be a hassle, not to mention all the time used packing. Instead, he decides to check out said "Vampire Party". Nathan shows up at midnight like the invitation states and finds a wide range of vampire wannabes.

Terra is a cop and is there to bust the person who throws these freakish vampire parties. While it's not an official police sanctioned stake-out, Terra thinks there's too much sex and drugs going on at these parties. What is her beef with Christian Matthews, the man who holds these parties? Why does Terra want to bust Christian Matthews specifically? The line about vampires "I think it's a sexual thing" sums up why we love vampires.

ALL NIGHT LONG starts out slow. You really need the background to feel the whole story. ALL NIGHT LONG wasn't long enough. I would have liked to see more interaction between Terra and Nathan instead of the abbreviated versions displayed. While the writing was wonderful it leaves you frustrated for more.

This is the first time I've ever read anything by Lydia Parks and this story leaves you baring your neck for Nathan to bite. While the story was good, the editing was a little slipshod. Paragraphs not indented right, and whole sentences missing.

Sensuality: Ménage a trois, Oral sex, Descriptive sex, Exhibitionist Sex.

Summary

Nathan wakes one evening to find a strange note in his mailbox. The handwritten invitation is to an exclusive vampire party, and promises all of his appetites will be fulfilled.. Concerned that someone knows what he is, he attends the party and discovers that the invitation was left in innocence, but that the party's human host claims to be a vampire. Nathan can't allow the attention caused by such a claim to continue.

Sitting alone at a table, Nathan finds Terra, an undercover detective who also wants to shut the party down. She's determined and attractive, but she obviously doesn't fit in with the crowd. Nathan proposes that they join forces, enjoying the fact that such a union takes them into the middle of an orgy. Terra's morality reminds Nathan of another woman from his past—a woman who changed him forever. Will Terra have the same effect?
