"Love, humor, and snappy dialogue with a merman."

When terrorists hijack a US plane and demand to be flown to Iran via Hawaii, Dr. Elanna Richfield, genetic research scientist extradionare, is thrown from the plane mid- flight. She lands on top of a blue-haired, amethyst-eyed merman named Storm.

Among his people, the Titans, Storm is known as a Master Healer and he saves Elanna's life. But when she recovers and realizes where she is and who--or what--she's with, she's shocked. Storm, who doesn't think very highly of humans, sees her as just another peculiar and demanding woman. After he heals her, he attempts to leave Elanna by abandoning her on an island. But this doesn't work well because he keeps returning to make sure she is okay and has everything she needs.

When the queen of the Titans, Amalda, chooses Storm to mate with this presents a problem for Storm who is falling in love with Elanna.

SEASCAPE is a unique and interesting story and Ms. Burke is an imaginative and talented writer. I've enjoyed her previous work and this book is no exception. It has her trademark humor, snappy dialogue, and great storytelling skills. Readers won't be disappointed.

Summary

How sexy can a woman be after being on a hijacked plane and tossed into the deep blue sea? Very, according to the merman she lands on! Storm was minding his business, sunning in the sea, doing what mer folk do on vacation when suddenly love falls onto his lap. Literally.

Dr. Elanna Richfield never thought she would see the light of another day. Especially from several fathoms below. But Storm opened up a world she had never seen, a world filled with magical elemental creatures, of unending beauty and mystery.

A world filled with political intrigue and danger.
