REVIEW

"Laughs galore in this humorous futuristic"

It's the year 2193. FBI Agent Sabin Grey is given the most unusual undercover assignment in his career. He has to pose an android to gain access to a top scientist's home to look for evidence of treason. Not just any android -- a companion (i.e., sex) droid!

Absentminded scientist Emily Shue cannot believe her grandmother's latest gift. She just received a sex droid! Since Emily never has time for dating -- or anything else -- her grandmother saw no problem with providing Emily with the droid. Will Sabin show Emily what she's been missing all this time?

Poor Sabin doesn't know what he's in for when he shows up at Emily's house. Far from the jaded traitor that he expected, she's completely oblivious to the outside world when she's working. She forgets to eat and shop. Emily doesn't bother with little things like keeping track of what day of the week it is. Sabin brings out desires in Emily that she's never felt before. Too bad he's only a machine... What will happen when Emily finds out the truth?

THE SEXDROID is a lighthearted quick read that's laugh-out-loud funny. Don't expect deep introspection in this tale. I found the identity of the traitor to be easily guessed, but still enjoyed the story. If you're in the mood for a light comedy, try Ms. Fox's latest novella.

Sensuality: Rated Carnal by the publisher. Explicit sex; sexually explicit scenes: 6.

Summary

Emily Shue is a scientist, not a sexpot, but despite her higher learning, men remain an enigma to her--best left alone. So when her grandmother sends her a sexdroid to "get prepared for the real thing," she has no idea what to do with him. She couldn't possibly do ... that with ... him. But when her new toy arrives, she's surprised by the very "real" desires he evokes within her ... and perhaps she was too hasty in her thinking ....

Sabin Grey thought the Assistant Director was joking when he suggested Sabin go undercover as a companion android. It was simple really: go in, find evidence of the leak on the Galaxy Project, and get out. Only he never expected to enjoy his role so thoroughly....

Rating: Contains explicit sex, language, and some profanity.
