Book One in the Talisman Bay series opens with a bang and keeps on climbing. Erotically charged suspense explodes off the page in this intense supernatural thriller. Ms. Raine captures the reader's imagination with vivid descriptions, three-dimensional characters, and intertwined subplots. The sex is graphic but inventive and well-meshed with the overall plot. An eerily dark atmosphere complements the novel's premise nicely. There are a lot of characters in the book, many of whom will surely be featured in their own books in the series, but all are interesting and individual. For the beginning of a series, especially one with so many details to expound upon, LOVER'S TALISMAN is a very well-written book. Fans of dark thrillers will love this one, and those who like a suspenseful romance will be no less enthralled.
