Hurt by a man before, Alexi developed her ball-busting attitude to get her revenge. As Darronn and his brothers learn, Alexi knows how to fight dirty and win. She may be sexually submissive, but that ends at the bedroom door. Outside the bedroom, she holds her own with men and wants a man who can respect that. Darronn has to decide if he can accept Alexi's terms or lose his chance with her. Will he give her his heart as she demands? If not, Alexi may just slip out of his grasp.

KING OF SPADES is a worthy follow-up to the first book in the Wonderland series. Alexi and Darronn have a different type of relationship than Alice and Jarronn, which suits them just fine. Feisty Alexi would never be able to be as submissive as Alice is. I found myself enjoying this story even more than the first one (maybe because I related to Alexi so much). I am eagerly anticipating the next story in the Wonderland saga from Ms. McCray.

Summary
