"A contemporary romance novel set in the wilds of Oregon"
Genny was a long way from her home in Hew Hampshire. Her
new job with the Bureau of Land Management had her living
in the wilds of Oregon. Ever since she was a little girl
she had dreamed of being able to do research in the
field. She came from a traditional family where the women
knew their place and it wasn't on their own. None of
Genny's plans include growing up to be as docile as her
mother. She's always had to fight her overbearing father
and brothers and she's not going to let any cowboy tell
her she wasn't going to be able to do her job. Even as he
called her "little lady" she finds herself being attracted
to him. Will she be able to see Rock for who he is and
accept her past? With her painted nails and blonde hair, Rock knew that
Genny wouldn't last one winter out here. He figures she
is just like his stepmother who hated being so isolated.
Even though he just knew she wouldn't last long, he
couldn't stop himself from being attracted to Genny. Will
he be able to accept Genny for who she is and not make her
pay for the mistakes of his stepmother? This was an enjoyable contemporary romance novel set in
the wilds of Oregon. The relationship between the two
main characters was enjoyable to read about and to see how
they grew and developed. Sexual Content: Rated R.

SummaryWhat do an archaeologist from Back East and a cowboy from
the empty corner of Oregon have in common? Not much,
except
the waterhole that Rock McConnell needs for his cattle and
Genny Forsythe must approve. First she has to make sure
there are no prehistoric petroglyphs near the site, and
that could take months of study. Now Rock isn't against
preserving the past, but his cattle are getting mighty
thirsty.
Genny's youthful dreams were filled with cowboys, tall,
lean, laconic, and Levi'd. Rock is all of them rolled into
one gorgeous, virile man. .Her silvery hair and painted
fingernails tell Rock that she doesn't belong in his
beloved Owyhee Country, but his body sings another tune,
one of immediate, demanding hunger for her kisses--and
more.
Though Genny's elegant Aunt Sophie and Pancho, Rock's
cook , conspire to bring East and West together, Rock and
Genny find plenty of reasons to stay apart. She has had
her
fill of dominant males, and Rock is about as dominant as
they come. He knows that delicate, feminine women can't
last in the harsh environment of Owyhee Country. So Genny
stops trying to prove herself to Rock, and he does his
best
to put her out of his mind.
But love will not be denied. Someone's got to bend.
