"Will a wounded hero accept love from the mother of his child?"
District attorney Andi Young has the weekend of a lifetime
with a virile, incredibly sexy DEA agent. When Gray
Syzmanski leaves, he promises to call her when he returns.
But he doesn't...return, that is. He's missing and presumed
dead after a raid went wrong in South America. Andi finds
this out when she goes to tell him she's pregnant from their
wild weekend together. What will she do now? Eight years later, Gray is putting the pieces of his life
back together. Seven years of torture has left its mark on
him -- both literally and figuratively. He considers looking
up the one thing that kept him going all these years, Andi,
but he figures she'd be better off without a man who is only
half of what he used to be. So Gray goes to work at his
grandfather's law firm, applying the law degree he never
intended to use. When one of Andi's friends mentions the new lawyer working
for him, Andi finds out that Gray is alive after all. In
shock, she has to decide what to do. How do you tell a man
that he has a seven-year-old son? How do you tell the little
boy that his daddy didn't die after all? And how to keep him
from assuming that his parents will get married now? Gray is elated to be a father, but is unsure of what kind of
role he can play in his son's life. He can't do all of the
active things he could before. Will his son feel constrained
by a father who can't do some father/son activities? Plus,
how will Gray cope with seeing Andi constantly? She needs a
real man, not the empty shell that Gray is. Do Andi and Gray
have any hope a future, if Gray cannot accept himself? BITTERSWEET HOMECOMING is very bittersweet, indeed. I ached
for the trauma that Gray went through, and the little boy
who didn't have his father for seven years. Gray has to
deal with some very serious disabilities and learn to adapt
to his new life. Will Andi's love be enough to convince him
that he can still lead a happy, productive life? Ms. Jacobs
always writes touching stories and this one is no exception.
Many characters from previous stories in this series make an
appearance, making the story even richer. Don't miss this
heart-wrenching tale! Sensuality: Rated NC-17 by the publisher. Explicit sex, anal
play with toys, bondage, anal sex (dream); sexually explicit
scenes: 9.
