"Not all cats are created equal"
Dr. Katya Felinni heard the desperate cry from deep in the
jungle. She left the streets of Jakarta to get to the edge
of the untamed jungle. She knows the poachers had captured
one of the rare Sumatran tigers. As she runs into the
jungle she transforms in mid-stride into a great black
panther. In no time she was at the poacher's camp. Using
her ability to telepath with any feline species, she was
able to save the tiger and round up the poachers with the
aid of other felines. Katya is a descendent of the Egyptian priestess who
worshipped the cat Goddess Bast. She inherited the powers
of the cat and uses her abilities to help anyone in need.
As Lady Sheba she has to keep her secret from even
her closest friends. She just has a small problem, she is
coming into heat and the only one she thinks can calm the
fires that burned inside, doesn't seem to be attracted to
her. Dr. Seth Malvoy is the curator of the museum and her
boss. She felt an instant attraction when he arrived two
years ago. Unfortunately it seems to be all one-sided. So
when Seth asks her if she wants to work late and open some
boxes from Cairo, Katya says no, she is too tired from her
trip. When she realizes that he was actually asking her out
for dinner, she asks for a rain check and heads home
regretting her no. Seth is attracted to Katya. Her scent drives him wild
with desire. There is nothing he wants more than to have
Katya in his arms, but not getting to do that he starts
opening the boxes from Cairo. When he comes to the Eye of
Horus he notices a secret compartment. As he opens it, a
black mist fills the air and the next thing he knows he is
possessed by the demon spirit of Set. Set, an Egyptian
God, is the God of Chaos, the destroyer of peace. Katya runs into Set using Seth's body to create chaos. She
has to figure out how to get Set back into the statute
without harming Seth. If she waits too long, Seth will be
lost forever. LADY SHEBA is a great paranormal novel. Ms LaCroix was able
to capture my attention from the first page and keep it
till the last word. These are great characters as well as
the secondary characters just shine. I loved Nathaniel. I
would love a cat like him. Seth and Katya sizzle with
passion as their relationship rapidly heats up. I can't
wait for Ms. LaCroix's next work. This is a must-read for
anyone who love erotic romances.
