"Detroit will never be the same!!"
Having been a huge fan of Melanie Jackson's books
for years, I've thoroughly enjoyed each and every one of
her historicals especially the bit of paranormal twist she
puts on them. So it was with a wee bit of trepidation that
I started her foray into goblin, faery, troll territory. I
soon found out I had absolutely nothing to dread. Once I started reading this book, I found I had a
hard time putting it down. Could this be due to a wee bit
of L'Air de Lutin perfume sprinkled on the pages to entice
the unwary reader? Needless to say, Melanie Jackson's
wicked sense of humor shines on every page of this fabulous
book! The hero Jack and heroine Io may be fae but they are also
ready to stop the evil goblin Horroban and his horde of
followers no matter what the cost or outcome. They don't
know whether to take out the goblin fruit fields or the
Lutin perfume factory or go directly after Horroban first.
Decisions, decisions! Their adventures through Goblin Town
AKA Detroit had me on the edge of my seat anxiously
awaiting the outcome. You'll be surprised and horrified at
how far reaching the goblin hand is throughout the world. Melanie's website that goes along with this book is simply
hilarious and I've spent many a mindless hour there
just surfing around! Could this also be goblin evilness at
work? I'm hoping that Melanie will see fit to write more
goblin books of this caliber so we can get more insight
into her delightfully convoluted mind.
