"Who knew where being best would lead?"
Sabrina Selwyn, an award winning actress, had spent years
getting her life back together. A tragic fire on the set
of the daytime drama show her family created had left
scars both physically and mentally. Her fiancé left her
and her family had basically left her on her own to
recover. While on one of her many visit to the hospital,
she accidentally runs down a patient in the hallway. Later
when she is able to apologize she meets Brian Richards.
Over the next few years they became best friends. Brian had never met anyone like Sabrina. He realized that
being a member of the famous Selwyn family she should have
developed the usual attitude of other high level
entertainers. But she was fresh, open with her feelings,
and before long he was hooked. Over the next few years
Sabrina recovered and in making the climb back to full
health, become a writer as well as a star on Broadway.
Now it was up to him to convince her to go back to the
daytime drama where it had all started. Sabrina is totally against going back, but Brian convinces
her to give it a try for twelve weeks. Brian feels she
needs to deal with all the feelings that have been
simmering under the surface since the fire. Sabrina
realizes that her family needs her to help save the show,
but what about seeing David? When he left her
because of her scars, she had hoped to never to see him
again. Finally she agrees but only if she can stay at
Brian's apartment for the duration. How hard can it be to
be roommates with your best friend? Only time will tell. BURNING DESIRES is a skillfully written tale with well
developed characters. It's an extremely hot read. I
loved Sabrina's struggles to become who she is. Brian's
strengths and love really carried the story. Their
romance as it developed is delightful. Highly recommend. Rated Hard R. Sexually explicit scenes.
