"The exciting conclusion to the August series!"
Sam August is a haunted man. His brothers and their
girlfriends have been caught up in a stalker situation for
which he feels responsible. And both his brothers have
emotional scars that he thinks are his fault as well. All
three went through hell twelve years ago and someone wants
them to pay for surviving it. Any woman Sam gets close to
will be a target. Can he fight his attraction, his need, for
Heather March, who works for the security company hired by
the Augusts? Heather desires Sam, but she's apprehensive about being
shared sexually with Sam's brothers. How can she give
herself to two other men if she loves Sam? How can he ask
such a thing of her? Although she knows Sam wants her, he
keeps blowing hot and cold with her as he fights for
control. The sexual tension is driving her insane and she
has to find some means of relief. Will the gift of sexual
toys be enough to take the edge off her need? Sam and Heather do not have an easy path to true love. In
addition to the physical danger facing them, there are the
emotional scars that must be dealt with before they can go
forward. The August men have been through horrific torture
that would have destroyed most men. Sam is still teetering
on the edge of sanity since he suffered the worst of the
abuse. Will Heather's love help to heal him, allowing him to
finally lead a normal life? Heather is a ballsy woman for her age and I loved seeing her
take no guff from the very alpha August men. She senses that
Sam doesn't need the emotional protection the rest of the
family forces on him. Rather than let the emotional wounds
fester, she believes in facing the inner demons and setting
them free. Sam may not appreciate her tactics at first, but
Heather holds the key to his emotional wellbeing. Does he
love her enough to face his past and lay it rest? I definitely recommend that readers new to this series read
the first two books prior to HEATHER'S GIFT. More of the
background story is given and the unusual relationship is
shown through the other women's eyes. Most fans will be
satisfied with the choices the characters make in the end.
Although I had hoped for a slightly different conclusion, I
felt that Ms. Leigh's ending stayed true to the characters. Sensuality: Rated NC-17 by the publisher. Explicit sex, anal
sex, light bondage, spanking, threesomes, foursomes;
sexually explicit scenes: 11.

SummaryWill she bring the gift of acceptance, or will she break
the bonds that have been forged through the fires of hell?
Heather's job was to guard Sam's body. As part of the team
assigned to the protection of the August family, she had
taken her job seriously. Until a mad man learned she was
Sam August's weakness. Until the past rose with deadly
intent and surprising secrets.
Will Sam be able to deny his passion for this woman, or
will the dark nightmares, and sensuous desires that rage
through them both be the cause of his destruction, and the
destruction of the woman he loves.
