REVIEW

"A romping romance in the Great White North."

All Jeffrey Bradshaw wanted to do was get to Artic Luck, Alaska, scope out the area for filming, and return to Aragonut Studios in LA. It would be nice to see the area that the series he wrote was going to represent. True, he wrote the story, but Monday he has a meeting with his boss Harold Ganthier, and he needs to be knowledgeable about Alaska. This should be a short trip in and then out. Right?

Cyd Thompson has a chip on her shoulder the size of a small mountain. She has competed with the boys all her life. She figures she doesn't need a man. Her father was the only one whom she would defer to, and now he's dead. Cyd has done everything on her own. She is independent and strong. She can only count on herself.

It seems both nature and Cyd are against Jeffrey. First they fly to the wrong town, then Cyd graciously invite him to her Aunt Geri's house until they can fly out. Because of the snowstorm, no one will be flying anywhere.

TOO CLOSE FOR COMFORT is a romp across the Great White North. Comedy, mayhem, and sexual tension spark as Cyd and Jeffrey butt heads. The comic relief is the customers at the local bar. Aunt Geri tries to push Jeffrey and Cyd together at every opportunity. The sled dogs eating Jeffrey's clothes are not to be missed. The best part is the sense of the people helping each other in their time of need. And taking a person at his word.

There are two points I have consternation with. The first being, when a woman sits in the lap of the gentleman her breasts can't be pressed against the gentleman's cheeks. The second point was the love scene in the snow. I don't see how the actual scene was do-able. Wouldn't the thirty below temperature be a slight hindrance?

Summary

WHEN IT'S THIS CLOSE...

Jeffrey Bradshaw's well-ordered life has just taken a detour. Instead of being in L.A. making the pitch of his career, he's stuck in Alaska with a feisty bush pilot. Seductive, independent Cyd Thompson has him so captivated, he's not even thinking about his career. All Jeffrey can focus on is the snow-melting heat he and Cyd create. He'll let his newly discovered twin handle L.A. until he's gotten Cyd out of his system.

MAYBE THE ONLY THING TO DO IS GET CLOSER!

Cyd wants Jeffrey...she just doesn't want him here. His big-city plans are bound to destroy the Alaska she loves. So she'll do anything she can to distract him from finalizing his business. And if that means seducing the guy...well, she'll do that. But she doesn't count on falling for Jeffrey's intoxicating kisses.

So what else can Cyd do but convince him that in the Arctic, there's no such thing as getting too close for comfort?
