"A Hot Read That'll Hold You Til The Last Page"
NO TIME TO DREAM addresses many of those thorny questions
we'd all like to avoid if possible. How long do you mourn?
When is it okay to start living again? And when faced with
the past or the future, which do you choose? Ms. Harte has
crafted a fine tale of love, responsibility, and the
difficulties inherent in moving forward. Jen Turner loses her parents in accident. At virtually the
same moment, she loses Victor Ruiz, her childhood
sweetheart, to the consequences of living a life of
adventure. The plane she was to board with him when she
got the call about her parents goes down in the South
American jungle. She assumes the responsibility of caring
for her younger siblings, and unknown to Victor, also
assumes the role of Mom. One of the constants in her chaotic life is Jack Logan,
Victor's best friend. Jack was practically raised with the
Turner family; Jen's parents took Jack and Victor under
their wing when it was clear that they didn't exactly have
stable home lives. Jack has loved Jen since....well,
forever. Jack is also Jen's boss and next door neighbor. A
birthday kiss that was WAY more than a birthday kiss, a
stressful day, a late night at the office, and a neck
massage changes their relationship in a heartbeat. With
that kiss, for Jack, a lifelong yearning is finally
satisfied, and he's not about to let her go. For Jen, a
whole new world is out there, and she realizes that it's
not a betrayal to want to move on; Jack is an added bonus
she hadn't even considered. But Victor remains a cog in
the wheel. No one knows if he's alive or dead, and Jen has
dreams in which she feels connected to him. Almost as if
he's communicating across a great distance. I thoroughly enjoyed NO TIME TO DREAM. Though a bit
sketchy at first, the characters really came to life the
deeper the story got. Jack's incendiary love and lust for
Jen fairly leap off the page, his frustration and
overpowering need for her will certainly leave you "hot and
bothered". The way Jen cautiously becomes a part of his
life is very well written. And what about Victor? You'll have to check it out to find
out how he plays into all this, and I guarantee you'll hold
your breath until the resolution. Rated Hard R by the publisher for explicit descriptions,
oral sex, masturbation, one instance of slightly aggressive
sex.

SummaryLeft alone to raise her daughter and her orphaned siblings,
Jennifer's life is dedicated to responsibility. Disturbing
visions of her missing (and supposedly dead) fiancé,
Victor, who disappeared in a plane crash almost two years
ago, still haunt her dreams. How can she justify lusting
after another man?
But Victor's best friend Jack is here. He's real and very
alive. Lusting after Jack's sexy body makes Jennifer feel
disloyal...but she's not sure she can help herself,
especially when Jack sets out to prove he is the man of her
dreams.
