REVIEW

"sexy lawyers find opposites do attract..."

Kristine Granger knew that she wouldn't win the case against the famous Tony Landry. No matter how much she wanted to put all drug dealers in jail as retribution for the death of her sister. Tony Landry was the best criminal defense attorney there was. That was why Winston Roe promoted him to partner and brought him up from Miami to head their division in Tampa.

When Tony first sees Kristine in the courtroom, he just knows he has to get to know her better. She is not his usual style, but Tony can't ignore the sexual pull he has towards her. Kristine looks at Tony as the enemy. How can he defend criminals and put them back on the street still, without feeling guilty, confuses her. But she can't deny the sexual pull either. Tony knows he needs to gain her trust and make her understand why he does what he does. Plus he will eventually have to tell her about his sordid past. Kristine doesn't want to betray her vow to avenge her family, but a case she tries starts to show her that there is a gray area of the law. Will Kristen be able to trust Tony so that their budding relationship can bloom?

I love to read Ann Jacobs writing. It doesn't matter what she writes, I love her style, detail, and sex scenes. Plus, this book was so close to home for me. She even mentioned where I lived. I thought that was the neatest. Ann has a way of transporting her readers into her books so that they feel everything her characters feel. I can't wait to read the next book in this series.
