"Enjoyable erotic historical novel."
Ethan Peron only needed a good cigar, strong whisky, and an
easy woman to be content. One night while playing poker he
came across a man truly in need. Patrick Gallagher had lost
everything to gambling and was in the process of signing
over his plantation and his daughter to a truly evil man.
Julian Leopold had been barred from most of the brothels in
the city for his sadistic behavior. When Ethan saw that
Patrick's daughter Katie was going to be at the mercy of
Leopold, he had to step in. Offering to pay all of
Patrick's debts, Ethan also agrees to find a husband for
Katie. His brother, Alexander, has recently told Ethan that
he was ready to have a wife and to start a family. This
seems like the perfect solution for all involved. Katie Gallagher has refused all of the suitors her father
has brought home for her. Every one of them was old enough
to be her father. One day Ethan Peron shows up at their
plantation. Katie can't stand Ethan even though she finds
herself being attracted to him against her will. She's
relieved to hear that it's his brother she's supposed
to marry and starts to look forward to her new life. The
only problem is that life sometimes isn't all that it
promises to be. I found this to be a very enjoyable historical novel. The
characters were true to their time and easy to like. There
are parts that some readers might find offensive. Sexual content: NC-17, non-monogamous sex, public sex,
group sex, anal sex and light spanking.
