"A Real Treat to the Senses"

Shelby Ware, RPT, and Kurt Silverman, MD, are best friends. He is navigating the shark-infested waters of Divorce; she is navigating the treacherous waters of single life, aging, that pesky biological clock, and unrequited love for her best friend. The news that her sister has developed cervical cancer, resulting in a hysterectomy, is a reminder to Shelby that at the age 32 and with no prospects in sight, the biological clock thing has become an issue. What's a girl to do? And what better sperm donor than her best friend?

Kurt's dedication to his patients cost him his marriage and his son, and now his ex-wife is attempting to further restrict his visitation rights. His attorney suggests a lifestyle change that would prove to the court that he is capable of providing a stable environment for his teenaged son. He hints that if he were to remarry, the court would look favorably at the visitation situation. Shelby's request for a sperm donation, though appalling at first, starts to look pretty good after a while. After all, she wants a baby and he needs a stable family situation. They could do each a favor and each get what they want... isn't that what friends are for?

A MUTUAL FAVOR is a great combination of mutual discovery and an exploration of the anatomy of love friendship and family and mighty hot sex. Shelby and Kurt's journey is fascinating; the slow build of their sensual relationship is awesome (and inspiring!), and obstacles thrown in their paths have you cheering them on their way. Shelby's frustration with Kurt's adolescent son's emotional turmoil will alternately infuriate you and break your heart. This story kept me up long into the night hoping for a satisfying resolution to some very real dilemmas.

Summary
