REVIEW

"Love comes in all forms"

Rachel Marks had spent 10 years trying to get her bookstore started and complete her childhood dream, only to finally have to close and lock the doors one last time. The big mall has slowly put an end to her small store as well as several other small businesses around her. Now she was broke. After weeks of looking, she was beginning to feel desperate to find any job when she spots the ad for a hostess.

The Mystique is a Goth-themed nightclub. It attracted all kinds from the normal ones who only wanted a drink to members of the Pagan community. Rachel knew she was older than the average applicant but she was 5 feet 10 inches with long legs. By the time she got there the hostess job was gone, so Rachel agreed to be a waitress. She just had to get the owner's permission.

Devon Carnavorn was gorgeous, in his mid thirties, and over six feet tall. Rachel felt immediate hot tugs within her body. Just looking at him caused a wanton fantasy to pass through her mind. It was almost like they had been lovers in a past life.

Devon couldn't believe his eyes, here was someone who made him itch to stroke her from her hair down to the tips of her toes. Why was he attracted to her when he had grown used to being alone? Why after a century did Rachel make him think about having a blood mate? Being a Kynn was what marked him as different from mortal men. They didn't take blood except to make a deeper connection with their chosen one. Kynns gave intense sexual pleasure then drew the strength from their focused energies.

Rachel had heard the rumors about Devon being a ladies man, and about his private parties. She senses that he is attracted, but she doesn't want to give in to just be one of the crowd. When she finds out Devon's secret she is hurt and confused and runs home to regroup.

This is only my second Jeya Jenson novel, I'm definitely hooked. The characters are very believable. This is an exotica story that truly has a plot. I was captivated from the first page. I loved both Rachel and Devon. Rachel because she is in her thirties and even when life is hard, she just keeps going. Devon, because he is able to win her heart with just his attention and not his money. Keep up the good work. I would recommend BEFORE NIGHT FALLS to everyone.

Explicit sex, group sex, oral sex, voyeurism.
