REVIEW

"Mackenzie Bliss' story!"

Mackenzie Bliss has had a crush on bad boy Devlin Brant since they were in high school but nothing ever came out of it. She hopes he'll be at the ten year reunion and gets all gussied up in hopes of seeing him there but she's destined to disappointment. She's so bummed at his not being there and what she heard about him that when she drops the reunion booklet in the street outside her apartment she doesn't even bother to pick it up.

Devlin Brant is on the run from some seriously bad guys and realizes he's in Mackenzie's neighborhood. He can't believe his luck when he sees her at her apartment door so he runs behind her and pushes his way in. Mackenzie only knows some man is trying to get into her apartment so she fights tooth and nail until she realizes it's Devlin. He convinces her that he needs help but she's not to ask any questions. Devlin is all beat up and after all the rumors that Mackenzie's heard about him, what can she think but he's on the run from the police. Then two men come to her apartment door looking for Devlin and stating they are the police. What is Mackenzie to do? Who is she to believe?

Wow, this is one rollicking good book. I read it in a matter of hours and simply loved it. I don't know whose story I enjoyed more, Mackenzie's or her sister Sabrina's (see THE CHOCOLATE SEDUCTION). Carrie Alexander never fails to give me a fabulous read! I look forward to each and every one of her books!
